1. Where do you make your shoes?
We have our own factory in Southern California. This allows us to offer a large variety of beautiful styles, fabric choices and colors. We are happy to see customers at our factory, we just ask that you call for an appointment to make sure that someone is here to properly fit you.

2. How long do orders take?
Depending on the time of year, most orders are shipped within four to six weeks.

3. What if I need an order sooner than four weeks?
We can make a new pair within 15 business days for a rush charge of $20.00 plus the cost of shipping. For any other special circumstances, call or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more possible options.

4. What makes dance shoes different from street shoes?
All dance shoes, both Ladies and Men's have non-slip suede soles, a metal shank in the arch for support and they are very light-weight and flexible.

5. I have never ordered dance shoes before, are the sizes different?
Glide Dance Shoes usually run the same as your street shoe size, unless otherwise indicated on the product page. Please note that most people wear different sizes between an open toed and a closed toed shoe, with the closed toe being larger. We highly recommend being properly fitted with our shoes by visiting a distributor. For a list of distributors in your area, see Distributors.

6. What if the shoes don't fit properly or I don't like them?
If the shoes were in stock, they can be returned as long as they are new, with no visible signs of wear. Please call for a return authorization number and return them within 14 days of receipt and place a note inside the box with specific instructions. Glide Dance Shoes reserves the right to refuse a return. See Return Policy.

7. If I return the shoes, is it my responsibility to pay the shipping Charges?
The purchaser is responsible for shipping costs. We recommend using UPS or Us Mail and insuring your return.

8. If I send the shoes back and they get lost is that my responsibility?
The manufacturers are not responsible for any lost incoming shipments. Please contact your shipping provider for inquiries about lost shipments.

9. Can dance shoes be worn outdoors?
It is not advisable because of the delicacy of the non-slip soles. The most important thing to remember, never get them wet!

10. Can I cut the straps shorter?
Yes, the straps are made extra long to fit anyone's ankle. They are specially stitched to be cut with regular scissors at an angle. Tip: add a touch of "Krazy Glue" to the cut end.

11. Why should I use a shoe brush?
As you dance, your suede sole collects debris from the floor. The brush will clean the sole and bring back the non-slip property of the shoe.

12. What are heel protectors?
Heel protectors are plastic covers for the heel tips. They protect the heel tips from wearing out and help grip on a slippery floor. Wide style fits N2, N2 1/2, and N3. Slim style fits 2C, 2.5C and 3C.

13. Do you also make ballet or tap dancing shoes?
No.
